01. Challenge

The challenge

Manual data processing, disconnected product systems and limited online product visibility held back Baconco's digital reach and made product information harder to maintain.

Baconco is a Vietnamese company that produces and distributes fertilizers, chemicals and packaging. It wanted to expand its digital reach and modernize key operations, but manual data processing, disconnected product systems and limited online product visibility were holding it back.

R Digital worked with Baconco on the immediate operational issues while putting in place a flexible platform that can grow with the business. Built on AesirX technology, the work covered privacy compliance, product data and AI, plus a new WordPress and WooCommerce website connected to AesirX PIM so products are easier to manage, find and understand.

Baconco is a good example of what R Digital does in Vietnam: commerce websites, connected data systems, AI and privacy delivered as one long-term platform, not as separate one-off projects.

As the catalogue and online content grew, Baconco also needed to turn maintained product data and approved agricultural knowledge into useful Vietnamese- and English-language answers without duplicating content across tools.

R Digital built the Farmer Advisor around the systems Baconco already maintains. Purpose-built retrieval tools connect current product facts, selected published content and approved technical material. This makes agentic AI concrete through connected tools and knowledge retrieval.

    Current product facts and specifications through product lookup skills, rather than duplicate product uploads.

  • WordPress

    Selected published content in the visitor’s language, controlled by article categories and post/page exclusions.

  • Approved documents

    DOCX and PDF converted to Markdown, or manually created Markdown/text. Only approved, current, non-expired revisions can support public answers.

  • Operated inside WordPress

    AI Configuration, Knowledge Base, PIM Integration, Skills & Guardrails, Conversations and Diagnostics. Administrators configure the provider, model and reasoning effort; the current implementation uses the OpenAI Responses API.

Knowledge remains managed in Baconco’s publishing and product systems. The architecture no longer depends on the earlier OpenAI-managed 20-document upload restriction; operational limits still apply.

Technical and compliance considerations

  • Consent captured and respected before analytics data is processed.
  • Analytics without third-party cookies, and first-party data kept under Baconco's control.
  • Less dependence on third-party platforms for data processing.
  • One source of product data feeding WooCommerce, the wider website and the AI advisor.
  • Website category scope, explicit post/page exclusions and language-aware retrieval control eligible published content; drafts are excluded.
  • Only approved, current, non-expired document revisions are eligible for public answers.
  • AI messages may be processed by an external AI provider, as disclosed in the chat. First-party analytics claims apply to the analytics infrastructure.
  • Source excerpts and guardrails support informed use; agricultural guidance still requires human judgment and following the product label.
